Our Fitness & Physical Activity Program is the heartbeat of Pegcity Steppers, built to bring people together through movement, consistency, and community. Whether you’re lacing up for the very first time, getting back into a routine, or training toward your next race or personal goal, you’ll find a space here that meets you where you are and supports where you’re going.
At our core, we keep it simple: we run, we walk, we strength train but more importantly, we show up for each other. Through every season, in every type of weather, this community is grounded in accountability, encouragement, and shared progress. From weekly meetups to structured sessions, everything we do is designed to help you build not just physical strength, but confidence, discipline, and connection.
Our programs are open and accessible, with most sessions remaining free to join so that anyone can be part of the movement. Throughout the year, we also introduce special and seasonal programs that offer more structured training, unique experiences, and expanded opportunities to grow, some of which may be paid to support the quality and delivery of those experiences.
No matter where you’re starting from, this is a space to keep it moving.

This is our flagship weekly meetup. We gather every Saturday morning at 7:30 AM at The Forks and head out for a 3km, 5km, or 10km route through the city. Walkers, joggers, and runners are all welcome.
We run this session year-round. During the warmer months, we meet outdoors in front of Travel Manitoba, and in the colder months, we meet indoors by the murals in the food court to warm up before heading out. We then split into pace groups so everyone can move comfortably, no one gets left behind.
It’s free to join. Just show up and keep it moving.

Park Walks is another of our signature weekly sessions designed to bring the community together through movement and exploration. Held every Monday at 6:00 PM from spring through fall each year, each month we switch it up and explore a different park across the city, keeping things fresh and engaging.
Whether you’re walking, jogging, or taking a light run, all fitness levels are welcome. We break into pace groups so everyone can move comfortably and confidently, no one gets left behind.
Its free to join. Just show up, enjoy the outdoors, and be part of the experience.

Each program is scheduled at different points throughout the year to align with the seasons and community needs. While many of our sessions remain free and open to all, some of these specialized programs are paid to support instruction, facilities, and the overall experience.
