Pegcity Steppers is a community-based run/walk club that welcomes all fitness levels and paces to keep it moving in a safe and inclusive environment. We come together to run, jog or walk in a supportive and encouraging environment. Our mission is to build healthier individuals, stronger workplaces, and more connected communities through movement, wellness, and active living.
We welcome individuals of all fitness levels, from beginners taking their first steps on their fitness journey to experienced runners training for races and personal goals. Whether you are looking to improve your health, stay motivated, meet new people, or simply enjoy being active, Pegcity Steppers is a place where everyone belongs. What makes our club special is the sense of community we have built. At Pegcity Steppers, fitness is about more than physical activity it is about supporting one another, building confidence, improving mental wellness, and creating a positive space where people can grow together.

At Pegcity Steppers, we believe movement and community go hand in hand. Our programs are designed to bring people together, inspire activity, and support overall wellness. Our programs are targeted towards women, newcomers, youth and anyone wanting to live an activity lifestyle.

What started as a way to stay active and connected in the cold winter months has grown into a mission to encourage people who live a relatively sedentary lifestyle to lead a more healthy lifestyle and to encourage and promote the visibility of BIPOC runners/walkers in the running community here in Winnipeg.

We meet twice per week on Saturday mornings at 7:30 am (all year) and Mondays at 6:00 PM (Spring-Fall).
We meet on Saturday mornings at 7:30 am in-front of travel Manitoba at the forks and Monday evenings at 6:00PM at various locations across the city, refer to our schedule here.
Most Definitely, all paces are welcomed. We encourage you to run your own race and go at your pace. If you are walking, jogging, running all paces are welcomed. We also have a group of walkers, you can start there are work your way up to running.
We have groups that run/walk both 3km and 5km around various communities in the city.
Absolutely Not! Although one of our vision is to increase the visibility of more BIPOC runners and or walkers here in Winnipeg; the group is open to everyone. If you are looking to get started on your fitness journey and you are looking for a supportive group of people to join; we are here to encourage you to keep it moving.
